Āṣāḍha Navarātri, also known as Gupta Navarātri or Vārāhī Navarātri, is a 9-day festival dedicated to Goddess Vārāhī Devī usually observed in June-July. These are very auspicious days to perform sādhana and also for any other specific pūjā to resolve the materialistic problems. By chanting shlokas and mantras, the devotees show their regard for the Goddess.
It is believed that during Navarātri, the Goddess promptly heeds to devotees and fulfill their wishes. She is worshiped in the three forms of the divine femininity, as the remover of vices, as the bestower of wealth and prosperity, and as the Goddess of Wisdom.
Who is Goddess Vārāhī:
The Goddess Vārāhī is one of the major deities in the Śrī Vidyā tradition. With the face of a boar, Vārāhī is worshiped by all the three major schools of Hinduism: Śaktism (Goddess worship); Śaivism ( followers of the god Śiva); and Vaiṣṇavism (devotion to Viṣṇu). She is usually worshiped at night.
