Day 01 06 Sept

Arrival at Banyan by the Ganges at Devprayag

Arrival · Settling in · Sacred beginning

Our journey begins with a peaceful stay at Banyan by the Ganges, surrounded by the sacred energy of the Himalayas and the flowing presence of Maa Ganga.

This first day is for arriving, settling in, slowing down, and preparing the body, mind, and heart for the sacred journey ahead.

Day 02 07 Sept

Waking up by the Ganga, Devprayag darshan, and travel to Gaurikund

Ganga dip · Meditation · Vyas Ghat · Devprayag Sangam · Gaurikund stay

The day begins with private access to the Ganga river for a sacred dip and meditation.

To sit by the Ganga in silence is not just to watch a river flow, but to feel the ancient rhythm of purification, surrender, and grace.

We will also visit Vyas Ghat, a serene riverside place associated with the wisdom of Maharishi Vyas, the great sage connected with the Mahabharata and many sacred scriptures.

We will then visit Devprayag Sangam, the holy confluence where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet and become the sacred Ganga. Devprayag is one of the Panch Prayags of Uttarakhand and is deeply revered as the place where the visible journey of the Ganga begins.

The day ends with our stay at Gaurikund, the base for the Kedarnath trek. Gaurikund carries the energy of Devi Parvati and is traditionally associated with Her tapasya before Her union with Lord Shiva.

Day 04 09 Sept

Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, Bhairav Temple & travel to Guptkashi

Samadhi darshan · Bhairav Temple · Descend from Kedarnath · Rudraprayag retreat begins

In the morning we will visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, which is believed to be the place where Adi Shankaracharya attained moksha.

If open and accessible, we will also visit Bhairav Temple. Bhairavnath is traditionally considered the guardian deity of Kedarnath, and the temple also offers beautiful views of the Kedarnath Valley.

After coming down from Kedarnath, we will proceed towards Guptkashi and stay at Alaknanda Adventure Resort, located on the banks of the Alaknanda River, surrounded by river views, mountain beauty, and the calmness of nature.

✦ The Rudraprayag retreat begins.
Day 05 10 Sept

Visit to Kalimath

Devi temple · Shakti Peeth energy · Fierce feminine grace

On this day, we visit Kalimath, one of the most powerful Devi temples in the region.

Kalimath is deeply revered and is known as one of the Shakthi Peeths of the region, held in very high spiritual esteem.

The energy of Kalimath is very different from other temple spaces. It carries the fierce, protective, and transformative presence of the Divine Mother — a place where surrender becomes strength and silence becomes power.
Day 06 11 Sept

Rudraprayag Sangam and Sacred Dip

Sangam visit · Sacred dip · Prayer · Release · Inner stillness

We will visit Rudraprayag Sangam and take a sacred dip at the confluence.

Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayags and is the meeting point of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. It is named after Lord Rudra, a fierce form of Shiva.

This is a place where the energy of Kedarnath’s Mandakini merges with the flow of Alaknanda, creating a deeply powerful field for prayer, release, and inner stillness.

A dip at Rudraprayag is not just a ritual; it is a moment of offering — offering the tiredness of the journey, the heaviness of the past, and the prayers of the heart into the sacred waters.
Day 07 12 Sept

Visit to Karnaprayag

Panch Prayag · Alaknanda + Pindar · Courage · Destiny · Grace

We will visit Karnaprayag, another one of the Panch Prayags of Uttarakhand.

Karnaprayag is the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Pindar rivers. It is traditionally associated with Karna from the Mahabharata, who is believed to have performed deep penance and worship here.

This place carries the energy of courage, surrender, generosity, and destiny.

As we stand at the Sangam, we witness not only two rivers meeting, but also two forces of life merging — effort and grace, karma and surrender, journey and destination.

Day 08 13 Sept

Completion of the Retreat

Integration · Sacred closure · Har Har Mahadev · Inner stillness

The retreat comes to a close, but the journey does not truly end here.

By now, we would have moved through most powerful temples, riverbanks, sacred sangams, mountain paths, Jyotirlinga darshan, Shakti Peeth energy, and the silence of the Himalayas. Har Har Mahadev will echo in your hearts for a long time and come.

This is not just a travel itinerary. It is a journey through the sacred geography of the soul.
From Ganga to Kedarnath, from Kalimath to Rudraprayag, from the outer mountains to the inner stillness —

This retreat is an invitation to return lighter, clearer, stronger, and more deeply connected.

The itinerary follows the sacred rhythm of the journey. Temple access, mountain conditions and local circumstances may naturally shape the sequence on the ground.

The Journey

Are you ready to open into an inner expansiveness like never before?

There are pilgrimages people plan for years and never take. There are darshans that, once received, quietly reorganize a life. This is that kind of odyssey.

Over seven days, this retreat carries you through the Himalayan landscape, alongside four revered rivers and past ancient confluences, into the heart of Mahadev at Kedarnath. It then unfolds at the timeless Sangam of Rudraprayag, with a visit to the hidden Shakti Peeth of Kali Math, where the Goddess is believed to reside in her eternal presence.

This indeed is a tirtha — a crossing point between the world you live in and the one you came from.

The mountains have been calling pilgrims home for centuries.

This time, they are calling YOU.
Retreat Highlights

Sacred places that shape the journey.

The Heart of the Retreat

Kedarnath

Everything this retreat carries you toward culminates here.

Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India—the self-manifested forms of divine light in which Lord Shiva is believed to reside.

To stand in the sanctum, surrounded by timeless chants and the towering Kedar peaks, is to encounter something that words cannot fully hold.

Kedarnath is a place that visits you—and never entirely leaves.
The Legacy of a Master

Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi

Close to the Kedarnath Temple lies the Samadhi of Saint Adi Shankaracharya. This retreat offers the opportunity to stand where one of India's greatest spiritual masters is believed to have completed his earthly sojourn.

It is a place of profound silence, reverence, and timeless wisdom.

The Timeless Sangam

Rudraprayag

At Rudraprayag, the Mandakini merges with the Alaknanda. Named after Rudra, the fierce aspect of Lord Shiva, this is where Shaivite and Vaishnavite traditions are believed to converge into a single current.

After the intensity of Kedarnath, the Sangam offers a place to pause and allow the experience to settle within. As the rivers merge into one, so too does the outer pilgrimage begin to meet the inner one.

The Hidden Shakti Peeth

Sri Kali Math

Hidden in the folds of the Kedar Valley, on the banks of the Saraswati River, Kali Math is revered as one of the 108 Shakti Peethas.

According to ancient tradition, a part of Goddess Sati fell here, consecrating the land forever and making Kali Math a seat of her fierce and transformative power.

There is no idol here. Devotees worship a sacred kund covered by a silver Sri Yantra, believed to mark the place where Goddess Kali entered the earth after slaying the demon Raktabija.

Along the Sacred Route

The Blessing of the Panch Prayag

As you travel through the Garhwal Himalayas, you will pass ancient confluences where rivers, stories, and centuries of devotion meet.

Devprayag

Where the Ganga takes her name

Here, the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda unite to become the Ganga.

Karnaprayag

Where Alaknanda meets Pindar

A sacred confluence carried quietly through the Himalayan route.

These rivers quietly offer their blessings, reminding us that every confluence and every bend in these mountains carries centuries of devotion.
Beyond the Rivers and Temples

The Inner Journey

Throughout the retreat, experiences are woven in to deepen reflection, presence, and inner transformation.

Meditation with Hindustani Classical Music

Meditation with Hindustani Classical Music creates a space for stillness, presence, and inward reflection.

Satsang Sessions

Satsang sessions offer an intimate space for enquiry, contemplation, and the questions that arise along the way.

Why This Retreat? Why Now?

Some journeys arise when the time is right.

Journeys like this are not manufactured. They arise from a land that has held its spiritual power across centuries, waiting for those ready to receive it.

Come with your devotion.
Come with your longing for the Self.

The Himalayas are waiting for YOU.
